API Improvements to support IVR's

Many parts of the Switchvox platform are already provided with a solid API, (please update the documentation for newer features)


It would be a major improvement to integrators to allow the creation of IVRs and the included logic by API.


This would allow for the creation of custom IVR applications that were portable between installations rather then needing to be recreated manually each time which is error prone.


Additonally this allows clients who like to integrate everything, to beable to dynamically make changes to an IVR without needing to create an entire new external process.


Some examples of common uses are:

  • A client wanting a DNC solution

  • A client needing logic for routing callers from specific area codes to specific queues.

  • Retrieving status updates from external system to control call routing such as notifying callers of a known outage.

The ability to create these types of IVRs by API allows integrators and customers to reuse logic with minor modifications and apply them to new installations reducing operators costs and lowering development time while allow the Switchvox to be better positioned as an integral part of customer management flow.
